Since Linux currently does not recognize this USB dongle, workarounds are required to use it. The "brcmfmac" kernel module can be forced to accept this product ID, which allows the WiFi to work. See:

It should also be noted that the system sometimes confuses it with the ID "0039". Physically disconnecting and re-connecting the device makes it work, too.
