Selectronic SP Pro Series 2 as manufactured by http://www.selectronic.com.au have a USB port on them that presents as "ID 0403:8508 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd".
I have tested this with a "SPMC240-AU" and "SPMC482-AU" personally by running "modprobe ftdi_sio && echo 0403 8508 > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/ftdi_sio/new_id" and having a functional ttyUSB device created, there's some public discussion confirming this works for other people too e.g https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=160400 .
