Confirmed here too. The text that gem posted is what appears in the kernel message buffer after this device is plugged in, although this device ID is for the USB 3.0 side of the hub. The device 2109:3431 also appears as a child of the USB 2.0 root hub.

Incidentally, this hub is branded here as a Tripp-Lite U360-004-R, not a VIA.
